MBE Hospitality Management is a third-party hotel management and hotel asset management company based in Kalispell, Montana. Our eleven services fall into three practice areas: operations and financial performance (hotel management, revenue management, sales and marketing, and accounting); asset strategy and development (asset management, acquisition and development, brand-to-independent hotel conversions, design and consulting); and specialized solutions (hotel receivership and non-profit integration). ### What is the difference between hotel management and hotel asset management? Hotel management is the day-to-day operation of the hotel: the team, the guest experience, sales, revenue and accounting. Hotel asset management looks after the investment: capital planning, renovations and PIPs, financing, repositioning and when to sell. MBE offers both. When we provide both for the same hotel they work together, but that is different from independent third-party asset oversight. ### Is MBE a third-party hotel management company? Yes. We operate hotels, resorts and campgrounds on behalf of their owners and investors, report regularly to ownership, and work with both branded and independent properties. We also own hotels ourselves. ### Where is MBE Hospitality Management located? Our headquarters is at 4824 Highway 93 S., Kalispell, Montana 59901. You can reach us at 406-831-5131 or Info@MBEhospitality.com. ### What makes MBE different? Hospitality starts with how we treat people and ends with paying attention to the details. We operate hotels with an ownership mentality because we own hotels too, and it shows up in the last 25 percent of the work: cleanliness that reaches the corners, grounds that are cared for, and the right insurance and internal controls. That is where a good hotel becomes a great one. We finish the job, and we report the results to owners clearly. ### What does MBE stand for? MBE stands for Mission-Based Entrepreneurs. Our faith is the foundation of how we lead, and it shows up in practical ways: dignity for every person, honesty, humility, care for the people we serve and stewardship of what is entrusted to us. Owners, guests and team members of every background are welcome. ### Who founded MBE Hospitality Management? Eric Bahme leads MBE Hospitality Management and took full ownership of the company in 2013. He was mentored by Horst Schulze, co-founder and former president of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, and was previously a partner in Lincoln Asset Management. Before that, Eric and his wife, Rita, founded Eastside Church in Portland, Oregon, which bought and renovated a run-down hotel to help fund its ministry. They moved to Kalispell full time in 2015. ### Which hotels has MBE managed? Our past and present portfolio includes 21 hotels, resorts and campgrounds in Montana, Utah, Idaho, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming, Illinois and Pennsylvania. Current properties include Copper King Hotel & Convention Center in Butte, Montana; Hotel NoBo in Cascade, Idaho; Snug Harbor Resort & Marina in Friday Harbor, Washington; Elk Lake Resort near Bend, Oregon; and the Comfort Suites in Granbury, Texas, which we are converting to an independent hotel, Hotel Granbury. The full list is on our portfolio page. ### What types of properties does MBE work with? Our portfolio spans branded hotels, independent and boutique properties, resorts, convention and conference hotels, and campground and RV resorts. Many are in small towns and secondary markets, where a well-run hotel matters to the whole community, and we are equally prepared for larger select-service and full-service hotels in metropolitan markets. ### Who leads MBE Hospitality Management? MBE is led by Eric Bahme (Founder / CEO); Scott Rieke (Vice President of Operations, CHA); Skyler Rieke (Vice President of Finance, CHA); and Dale Prout (Vice President of Development). The team also includes Joe Martel (Accountant, CPA); Samantha Dodd (Controller); Nate Peterson (Director of Growth and Technology); Zach Mahon (IT Director); and George Hancock (Director of Philanthropy). ### Does MBE offer hotel receivership services? Yes. Hotel receivership is one of our specialized solutions. Lenders and receivers can reach our team through our contact page (choose “Lender / receivership”) or by calling 406-831-5131. ### What does a third-party hotel management company do? A third-party hotel management company runs a hotel on the owner’s behalf: leading the team, caring for guests, sales and marketing, revenue management, purchasing and accounting, with regular reporting to ownership. MBE manages branded and independent hotels, resorts and campgrounds. We own hotels too, so we understand the decisions owners face. ### What is hotel asset management? Hotel asset management focuses on the value of the investment rather than daily operations: capital planning, renovations and PIPs, repositioning, financing and when to sell. MBE offers both. When we manage your hotel and handle its asset management, the operating plan and the investment plan work together, but that isn’t the same as independent third-party oversight. We’re glad to work with an independent asset manager when one is required. ### What is the difference between rate management and revenue management? Rate management is one part of revenue management. Rate strategy sets and adjusts room prices day by day. Revenue management also covers distribution channels, forecasting and how pricing decisions connect to the hotel’s budget and results. ### How does hotel receivership work? When a lender takes control of a hotel, a receiver is typically appointed and a third-party management company is hired to run the property and protect its value. MBE steps in, stabilizes operations, reports transparently to the receiver and lender, and prepares the hotel for a sale or new owner. ### Can a church or non-profit own a hotel? Yes. Our founder led a church in Portland, Oregon, that bought, renovated and operated a hotel to help fund its ministry. Every organization’s structure is different, so we work alongside your legal and tax advisors to find the right approach. ### Do you manage independent hotels or only branded hotels? Both. Our portfolio has included Best Western, Choice, Hilton, Marriott and Wyndham brands alongside independent hotels, boutique properties, resorts and RV campgrounds. We also help owners convert branded hotels to independents when that’s the better path. ### Where does MBE Hospitality manage hotels? We’re based in Kalispell, Montana, and have managed hotels, resorts and campgrounds in Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Utah, Texas, Wyoming, Illinois and Pennsylvania. ## Pages - [Home](https://www.mbehospitality.com/) - [Our Start](https://www.mbehospitality.com/our-start.html) - [Our DNA](https://www.mbehospitality.com/our-dna.html) - [Team & Bios](https://www.mbehospitality.com/team.html) - [Services](https://www.mbehospitality.com/services.html) - [Portfolio](https://www.mbehospitality.com/portfolio.html) - [Contact](https://www.mbehospitality.com/contact.html) - [Why MBE?](https://www.mbehospitality.com/why-mbe.html) - [Questions Owners Ask (FAQ)](https://www.mbehospitality.com/faq.html) - [Insights](https://www.mbehospitality.com/insights.html) - [Beyond the Bottom Line](https://www.mbehospitality.com/beyond-the-bottom-line.html) - [Careers](https://www.mbehospitality.com/careers.html) ### Wix Site MCP Server Endpoint (/_api/mcp) - **Endpoint**: `/_api/mcp` - **Available Server Tools**: `GetBusinessDetails`, `SearchInSite`, `SearchSiteApiDocs`, `CallWixSiteAPI` - **Static Canonical Sitemap**: `https://www.mbehospitality.com/sitemap-mbe.xml`
